The Don Chan Palace is situated on the banks of the Mekong River. This 14-story hotel is the countries first five-star hotel, and is the tallest building in Vientiane. This is also where officials had the meetings at the 10th ASEAN Summit.
A shopping complex adjacent to the hotel is currently being constructed. The two-story complex, which will cover 339,620 square metres, will have around 1,500 shops and space to park 650 cars and 1,000 motorcycles.
