A cave called "Tum Jung" is located in Vang Vieng resort. Vang Vieng is a town located between Vientiane and Luang Prabang and it is one of the most well known tourist destination in Laos with multitude of guesthouses, restaurants, bars and internet cafes.
The Vang Vieng resort is only a few minutes ride by motorbike from the town centre, and it is a pleasant area that is a favourite with locals during rest days.
The Tum Jung cave has a long history and was once a hideout for locals against invading armies. To get inside Tum Jung, you have to get up a long flight of steps up to the entrance, then there are electric lights inside the large chambers. Cool, clear water flows from a lower cave nearby. Once you get to the top of the cave, you can see a spectacular view of the surrounding areas of Vang Vieng.
